You won t be hanging your mirror from the screw. Without proper fastening you risk the object falling and breaking as well as damaging anything in its path. Measure from the top of the mirror to the top of the d ring or keyhole. You can hang rings or wire from two hooks on the wall.

Then measure the distance between the two mounting points. Take a long length of wire double it and then thread it through one of the screw eyes of the d ring and then down to the screw eye of the d ring on the other side of the frame. An alternative to hanging the mirror with the wire on the back of the frame is to use the d rings to latch onto anchors or hooks on the wall. Mark 2 spots about 6 inches 15 24 cm from the top on either side of the center of the back of the mirror.

Install two d rings at these markings.
