Nail into place either new siding ripped to size with your table saw or the existing siding if not overly damaged and install over the new window s flange to the edge of the existing siding.
Install a window without siding on wall.
Cut the old wall studs to build a new window frame in an existing wall first remove the interior wall covering and any insulation to expose the studs.
Caulk any major voids.
Fold the house wrap around the sides and staple them to the wall inside the room.
Seal the house wrap against the pan with house wrap tape.
Make sure the pivots are above the sash lifts.
Decide which studs will have to be cut to install the new frame and which can be kept to use again.
With window tape cover up all seams.
Fold the house wrap sides in staple them to the room side of the trimmers and king studs then slice off the excess on the inside of the house.
The newly installed window will need to be trimmed out with j channel or j molding before the siding can be reinstalled.
Sometimes there are little pieces of wood between the window and the wooden studs that hold the window tight.
To the edge of the window to about 1 past the outside seam.
Use a hammer or a drill to take out any nails or screws that are holding the window in place.
Tilt up the sash and press outward on the jamb liner while you snap the top of the sash into place between the jamb liners.
